AEG Presents/Bowery Presents is the owner and operator of Starland Ballroom. More than 1.5 million concertgoers have attended shows at the Starland Ballroom since it opened in 2003, including performances by everyone from Jon Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen to Justin Timberlake and The Jonas Brothers. Averaging 115 events each year, Starland features everything from rock and country to pop and everything in between.
Due to damage from Hurricane Sandy, the Starland Ballroom was forced to shut its doors on October 29, 2012. The facility had to be renovated entirely and shut down for ten months due to the extent of the damage. With this shutdown, there was a chance to improve the space as needed without changing its original Starland Ballroom aesthetic. The Rules of the Venue for Public Concerts
For your safety and the respect of other guests and employees, the following list of objects is not permitted entry into Starland Ballroom. Please read this whole document carefully. These materials so that you know what you may and may not bring to the location.
- No professional cameras, microphones, video cameras, or tablets.
- No tripods, monopods, or selfie sticks
- No outside food, drink, or personal reusable beverage containers are permitted.
- No Aggressive or Violent Behavior
- All weapons are prohibited.
- No Colours
- No large bags, camelbacks, backpacks, or suitcases.
- No Glow Sticks
- Without laser pointers
- No Banners, Stickers, Posters, Flyers, or Signs.
- None with chains.
- No awnings
- No spiked or sharp-edged clothing or accessories.
- No markers of any type, not even Sharpies.
- Absence of gum
- No Camping Overnight
- No re-entry, no strollers, or children in arms.
- Anything else that management deems objectionable.
- Rules are subject to change upon the artist’s request; they have the right to refuse service to anybody.
- Alcohol use requires adequate government-issued identification, such as a driver’s license, passport, or other proof of age 21 or older.
